shadows

it might have been a little windy today, but 45 degrees meant we were willing to risk it. von and i took a nice leisure walk (and/or march) up and down the street and then played outside for a majority of the afternoon. it did get a little chilly, so we came inside and had some nice hot cocoa. we relaxed in the recliner for a bit and then prepped dinner.

weekend

we had a good ol' family filled weekend in kittanning ....

~ von bathed in ma's kitchen sink and somehow a lot of water 'escaped'

~ von got new shoes (he went up another size already!)

~ went out to eat at a snazzy new sports bar (glad that pops could come too!)

~ we discovered that von likes tea parties :)

~ von demonstrated all of his wonderful animal impersonations (good stuff!)

~ pa made some DELICIOUS homemade ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, AND peanut butter)

~ haydn was kind enough to share his bed and his awesome mario sheets (thanks again, h!)

this doesnt look like the little boy who is afraid of the vacuum, does it?
von opened the closet, got out the vacuum, and just started pretending to vacuum like there was no tomorrow. the sound effects seriously cracked me up. of course, he had to stop anytime he saw my phone to say 'cheese' (again, crack me up).
just love love love this kiddo!!

von got a ball (or in von language 'BAAAAAL') today, a huge ginormous fun ball. and he loves it. and so do mom & dad. we ran around all afternoon/evening kicking, throwing, rolling, bouncing the ball.
just look at the happiness on his face. priceless :)

more visitors!

old man winter tried his hardest, but penn dot rick didnt let that stop them ... ma & pa came for a visit!
a cold, wintery, and blustery weekend filled with visiting and relaxing. besides the basketball game, we simply hung out around the house. von showed ma & pa all of his new talents, we ate some goodies, and then we all went to bed early. a quick visit, but always happy to see them!
