weekend nap

this is what nap time looks like on the weekends at our house ...

erie zoo

another open friday = another zoo trip!
grandma, von and i went to erie to spend the day zooing with tiffany, mason and norah. highlights included giraffes, carousel, monkeys, and train (oh, and some cute hand-holding by the boys). such a cute zoo and enjoyable day.
i'm sure this summer shall bring many more erie zoo trips.

haskell valley

yesterday was ollie's turn to go to the doctor (von was just happy that it wasnt his turn). so off to the vet we went and tried to document with a few pictures. a 70lb weimaraner and almost 2 year old dont really stand still much, better yet stand still at the same time, so our pictures are more like blurs than anything else :)
von only got a tad nervous once, and ollie did swell too. back into the jeep and home we came. and that was our wednesday afternoon dynda family outing!

flip book

after a fun egg hunt in the basement (silly rain), we tried to get a few pictures of these three magnificent kiddos. of the 30 that i snapped, these five made the cut. but honestly, i could make a flip book with all of the pictures and it would crack anyone up. good stuff, good stuff indeed.

Easter Easter

HAPPY EASTER, 2012!!
what a great day! church was AMAZING - von made it thru the entire service & even sang his little heart out. then home to prep dinner and play with our goodies from the Easter bunny. after a solid afternoon nap, grandma, grandpa, tiffany, mason and norah arrived for a fun family gathering (see next post).

april showers

nope, not the kind outside ... big boy took a shower at ma & pa's.
see, ma and i had to figure out a way to convince von to come inside, so i promised him he could get a shower, and well as you can see, it worked. eureka! he liked drinking the water the most :)

egg hunt #2

the mommas organized an egg hunt for the kiddos - throw in some goodies to munch on, a few juice boxes, and it turned into a fun party for moms, dads, and kiddos of all sizes!!
von really reeeeally likes this egg hunting thing. he filled his basket past capacity and then some. we have yet to open the eggs to see what treasures await inside (got home kind of late and it was straight to bath/bed), so the morning shall be exciting!! he'll probably dream in pastel colors tonight :)

bubble wrap

we had a little accident with one of the lenses for our good camera; it somehow made it's way to the tile floor in the kitchen, with a thud might i add. (thankfully, tiff & tom recommended an additional lens when we originally purchased a few years ago, so the camera is still in commission.) i got out the bubble wrap to ship the broken lens for repair, and von helped himself to a sheet while i wasnt looking.
POP POP POP then HAHAHHAHAHAAAAAHAAAA is what i heard, and when i turned around, he was smiling from ear to ear holding the bubble wrap.
so i cut a piece for him and he walked around thinking that his new 'toy' was just pretty neat.
oh the treasures we find around the house!

ktown Easter (and tractors)

josh, von, ollie and i headed south this weekend for the steffy Easter celebration.
egg hunts, lots of food, quality time with family, and TRACTORS! let's just say that pa had a permanent sidekick, with hopes of as many tractor rides as possible :)
von also made out like a bandit with goodies from everyone (thank you, all!) ... just wait until you see his new wagon!

egg hunt #1

we took von to the ymca on friday evening for an egg hunt. he was one of the younger kids and the egg hunt looked more like a stampede, but von simply enjoyed running around and giggling. next was the bouncy house and, well as you can see by the video, he was in his glory. egg hunt, schmegg hunt ... the bouncy house ROCKED von's friday night.
