trick-or-treat

our little penguin did well for his first halloween. lots of commotion with trick-or-treaters ringing the doorbell, which made ollie girl bark bark bark, which made von a little nervous. he was a tad more interested in the pumpkin light than he was the costumes. oh well, great effort for his first year cause next year he'll be running around the neighborhood .. wonder what he'll be??? hmmm, 364 days to decide!

von also enjoys playing 'peek-a-boo/lets see if i can get this whole blanket in my mouth'. i know im a biased opinion, but i just think these pics are too cute. oh, such a happy boy!!

BUBBLES!

mr v has learned how to blow bubbles (he totally sounds like the jetsons and josh likes to call him elroy), and thats ALL he wants to do now. as a result, we have bought stock in bibs ... let the mess begin!! :)

this momma cant believe that soon mr v will be enjoying meals in his highchair. until then though, he's all mine to snuggle with during feeding time. milk must be doing his growing body good :)

haydn, emry, & von celebrated halloween a few days early... sooo stinking cute!!
rest assure that the classic 'one kid looking this way-another screaming-someone making a weird face' moments have just begun for this crew. bound to happen again soon :)

we've got a snoozer here ...

big boy von is LOVING sleep as of late. he's been surprising us with quite a few 'all nighters' lately where he goes down before 10pm and doesnt get up until sometime after 6:30 (today was 8:30!?!?!).
he fell asleep while nursing this morning and i had some things i needed to get done upstairs, so i laid him down in our bed - totally thinking he would wake up within a few minutes - BUT HE NAPPED FOR ANOTHER HOUR!! (he must be going thru a growth spurt) anyways, i thought he looked downright adorable napping in mommy & daddy's bed - itty bitty von in our huge bed. the picture isnt of the best quality because i didnt want the camera to wake him.

mirror, mirror ...

cold & windy day outside means snuggle time for us. we turned on the fireplace, laid on the playmat together, and giggled for close to an hour. im sure there will be much more of this type of activity with winter approaching.

no sitting fee

tried our luck today ... havent had any 'professional photos' taken and wanted to see how well we could do on our own. dressed von like a monkey, messed around with the camera, took some shots while he was a happy boy, added them on shutterfly, did some editing, and tadaaaa, got some pretty cute pics. these are just a few silly ones from the zillion that i took.

plus, in the middle of it all, von picked his head up and looked around like a biggie boy!! cant believe he will be 3 months old tomorrow!!

SUN!

so we did a little 'back porch sitting' today, soaking up some of the last nice weather of the season. von had a touch of 'grumpy-pants-itis' and this calmed him down a bit :)
