gosh, i dont even know where to begin, but i'll post these hospital pictures for now.  i'll also apologize in advance for the onslaught of photos that are about to hit the blog.  my only limiting factor right now is time, seeing as how you cant pull me away from von & violet and then i just want to sleep when i'm not holding one of them.

thursday!!

this little boy sure keeps mom hopping .. and although some relaxation sounds good, i do love every minute of it.  
we started off our busy thursday with a delicious breakfast at a local diner.  the mickey mouse pancake totally rocked his world.  then we walked to the library for story hour, where von made an awesome bird feeder and enjoyed the spring-time themed books/songs (side note: upon hanging up the bird feeder when we arrived home, the piglet squirrels devoured it before the birds even had a chance.  grrr!)

next was a nice hike thru the neighborhood.  granted, we take daily walks, but we made this one an adventure.  kicked some rocks, put some pebbles in every pocket we could find, picked flowers, listened for woodpeckers, sang songs and so forth.  the gorgeous april weather was just an added bonus!

after some lunching and napping, we decided some ice cream was in order (hello, soft serve season!).  

 
the wind really picked up this afternoon/evening though, so we came home and spent the rest of the night indoors.  played, made brownies (a favorite of von's), goofed around on the floor, just some good ol' mom-n-von-quality-time :)

some special gifts

hard to believe that gummy bear will be here in 12 days or less!!!  (WOW)
big brother von wanted to get a gift for his new sibling-to-be, so we decided that a pacifier and a monkey snuggle blanket were both fantastic ideas.  some pretty tissue paper and a cute little bag, and tada a precious gift from big brother to baby.  he's so excited to bring it to the hospital!

well i notice that i havent posted anything in about two weeks, but i promise, we're still kicking it here in olean.  just been hanging out, having some fun, enjoying the weather - you get the idea.  here are a few random pics.

 

happy Easter, y'all

we had a wonderful Easter.  from basket hunting to church service to family dinner, it was all just plain awesome!

thanks to spring break, ma, t, haydn, and emmy came to stay with us for a few days.  it was fun! 

wednesday evening was pedicures for the girls and wii time for the boys.  then a big ol' tray of pizza and wings, followed by some relaxation and bedtime.  

thursday was run-around-olean day.  we hit the mall, and put a hurting on kohl's clearance :), then ate lunch at friendly's (yes, ice cream for dessert!), then bj's and finally home for some play time.  after dinner, we colored Easter eggs and also celebrated haydn's 9th birthday!  another jam-packed day led to an early bedtime for all. 

oh!  and t was gracious enough to wash any-and-everything baby related, so now that prep work is done for this momma (THANK YOU, JESSA!) 

fun fun fun for the steffy girls and kiddos!  my energy level isnt quite up to snuff, so i totally appreciated the help for a few days!  cant wait to do it again soon (hopefully within the next few weeks sometime - HOLY COW, 3 WEEKS!)
